Basic display

After application setup, the default workspace is displayed. Multiple options are available to users including:

• Selecting languages, lessons, word/phrase groups or taking tests.

• Adding new words/phrases to the system.

• Recording user audio to existing records.

• …or using the application for audio-only listening sessions without affecting statistics, and more.

Sheets

Viewing options are highly customizable. The available views (onscreen and printable) offer a wide range of functions.

• View by language, lesson, word/phrase groups or other criteria.

• Select columns, font size and color, highlighting, and sort order.

• Enter, write and delete records to create a custom study guide.

• There is full Unicode support for recording, viewing and data entry of records, as well as export capability to Excel (xls), html and text (txt) formats.

Workspace adaptability

The application workspace adapts to monitor size so controls and required functions are always visible. The views can be customized as well.

• Display only the information necessary for use in a specific workspace.

• Adjust placement of workspace window objects for user convenience.

• Choose font faces, sizes and symbols for all text objects in conjunction with displayed languages.

Statistics

Statistics update dynamically during use of the Aurinko Language Application. This allows users to see progress and trouble spots quickly and easily.

• Real-time overview of lesson areas remaining to be mastered.

• Visual display of records answered correctly at least once.

• Number of correct responses necessary to achieve mastery.

• Immediate statistics of areas to be studied and successfully completed areas.

Additional data entry

Data entry for phrase/word records in native and foreign languages is not limited to the translation only. Additional data entry fields are available for supplemental information.

• Specific grammar or structure information can define program functions.

• Additional information can be added to every record in both languages, such as definitions, etymology, situational usage, etc.

Support for all languages of the world

The Aurinko Language Application is compatible with all languages. If the language is supported in the user’s operating system, the application’s functions support it.

• Users can create new language databases.

• Any installed font works within the application.

• All text types, even those with complicated script structure, can be exported or printed.

• Keyboard language settings are automatically changed in data entry fields to match the language in use.

Custom study outline structure

User-created and existing records can be included in lessons and phrase/word groups.

• Users can redefine grouping of phrases or words into various categories.

• Aurinko-produced language databases respond to customization, grouping words and phrases according to the user’s preferences, freeing the user from “packaged” constraints.
